    Fabulous

Excellent breakfast, included fresh fruit. Easy access to town center with tram line right there and running every 2 minutes or so. Overall, good value for Amsterdam hotel. I would stay here again.

If you are elderly or have limited mobility, the stairs are impossible. For me they were fine, but I couldn't bring my grandma here.

    Very good

The location is excellent - close to the Museum District and main shopping streets. As little noise as possible. For those who want to have private visits it is nice to have keys also for the back door.

Room is very basic. Shower is poor. Awkward smell.

    Good

Hotel staff had helped us booked tours and was readily available to assist when we needed help. A pleasant stay at hotel and was able to moved around the area easily as shopping and availability of cafes and restaurants are all around the corner. Transport and also within easy reach of the hotel. Even as night falls the area itself was safe for us to walk around as there are people passing by all the time.

If there are things that are mostly needed by a family which stays in the hotel, a small kettle for boiling water is a necessity in the hotel room, whereby we can make hot drinks for ourselves as sometimes the weather in Amsterdam can be very very cold.

    Good

Heineken brewery is very close, many cafes and coffeeshops around

no elevator, steps are too dangeorius, location is far from the city centre

Good room, friendly and helpful staff, good location

    Very good

Hotel sited near the center but far from the noise (15 min. walking to Damplatz, few min. with the tram). The breakfast is quite good, with few things, but clearly fresh (homemade muffins). the bathroom is outside the room, but is really big (a lot bigger than mine at home) and clean (you have the key, so no one can use it).

The staircase is very steep, but is a problem only with the suitcases, and if you pay with credit card you have a 5% fee (but the owner let us use the pc and the printer for free, so we balanced the expenditure)

Location. Hospitality (only 1 out of 3 staff members we met).

Quad-room: Second-hand furnished raunchy room. Dirty, smelly, fungous bathroom. Dirty towels. Shameful quality for the money it costs.

friendly staff and pretty good breakfast

No effort to maintain the hotel rooms as far as we could see. Had a room with bathroom. Hole in the wall where toilet feed was located. Multiple cracks in the bathroom sink. Other holes in the wall in the main living area. Terrible old mattresses with little support. Towels were well beyond useful life and rough as sandpaper. For $160 a night didn't expect anything but basic room with basic amenities in a city as expensive as Amsterdam, but did expect the hotel room to be maintained to a minimum standard.

Breakfast spread was good , but room was so basic and uncomfortable it was like a hostel more than a €95 a night hotel , very disappointed !!!!

    Superb

Really friendly, efficient and hospitable personnel, comfortable bed, close to city center.

Comfortable hotel. Nothing fancy, nothing dodgy. Clean rooms. Well situated. 15 min walk from the red light district / main train station. 2 min walk from a tram stop. It's a good choice.

We paid 118 euros per night which is way too expensive for this hotel. In the most expensive European cities I can get a 4 star hotel for this price (we booked 1 month in advance). The price can be explain by the fact that we stayed in Amsterdam during the ibc conference and all hotels were fully booked during that time. To my mind, 80 euros would be a fare price.

    Good

Easy access to public transport (Tram) including canal cruise. Fast food outlet (halal kebab) is within 5 mins walk and supermarket within 10 mins. Good breakfast spread to start off your day.

The staircase ! Too narrow and steep. Would be a real effort to carry heavy baggage up/down. Do not expect too much from this 2-Star hotel. Need a bit of scrapping/clean-up and new silicon at the shower cubicle.
